OUR MISSION

Project Spirit is a 501(c)(3) charitable, nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for abandoned, neglected and abused horses in Oregon. We are focused on rescue, rehabilitation and placement of every horse we bring into our program. The goal for all Project Spirit horses is adoption to good homes, and when appropriate, providing long term equine care in a sanctuary setting.

Interested in adopting a rescued horse? To adopt please see the attached application. We require consent to a home check, permission to speak with your vet and farrier, and 2 personal references who know you around horses.

ARCHIE

Archie is a 5 year old gelding, thought to be Peruvian Paso / Arabian.  He was starved as a colt and sent to auction.  Thankfully some of our supporters nabbed him up.  He is a huge personality, full of ambition, but unfortunately can only be a companion or lead line pony.  He has fallen pasturns either from starvation or bad breeding.  He should not bear much weight as it could worsen his condition.
